The one with the mostly white crest is the one I KNOW is white x blue... the one with the dark crest, I guess I’ll assume she’s white x blue too.

I've been trying to get contact with you, & you're helpful. I can remove you if you want? Why do I appear to be tagged in this thread?
I know what I'm talking about, I've done my research, and all colored Silkies have a white Silkie background. They were mixed with different colored chickens to produce colored Silkies.Uh, what? Recessive white does not "leak" into certain parts of a colored bird. If a bird has 2 copies of recessive white then it is white. If is has just one then it remains hidden.
As for silkies, if they all carry recessive white then 25% of the offspring from every breeding would be solid white, regardless of the parents' varieties. I doubt that is the case.
Probably. The one with the mostly white crest is the one I KNOW is white x blue... the one with the dark crest, I guess I’ll assume she’s white x blue too.

I'll make conversation with you, that way we'd be uninterrupted.Probably.
So all silkie breedings will have 25% white offspring. It's simple Punnett squares.I know what I'm talking about, I've done my research, and all colored Silkies have a white Silkie background. They were mixed with different colored chickens to produce colored Silkies.
They carry recessive white if one parent was white. Looks like your white is partridge based. The one with the mostly white crest is the one I KNOW is white x blue... the one with the dark crest, I guess I’ll assume she’s white x blue too.

I haven’t posted pics of my white silkie though. Those 2 were the offspring...They carry recessive white if one parent was white. Looks like your white is partridge based.
Ohh! I’m so sorry.Yes, and they give clues to what genes the recessive white is hiding.
