not yet, the temperatures have been absolutely frigid in eastern Iowa so my hens slowed down laying. I have just noticed that they are starting up again, so I am going to dust off my incubator today and hopefully if my hens cooperate I will set next week.
19 Dorking project eggs in the inci today!!! These are my Red Dorking roos with my Cuckoo/red dorking crossed hens. And now I have ordered 2 dozen red dorking hatching eggs from Dick Horstman to arrive in March.
With Mr Horstmans quality line I can
breed to the eggs I have in the inci to get my creles, and save some hens to breed to my red roos to invigorate my reds!!! Very excited! Even though it has been frigid in Iowa..I am thinking spring!!!
I just candled my Dorking project eggs, and whoppee! out of 19 in the inci, only one was infertile! So excited to see these guys....why does 3 weeks seem so looooooong???
