Lock down! Out of the 19 I set, 15 went into lock down. Of those that didn't make it, 2 infertile, 1 blood ring, and one death for unknown reason on day 14. I have two roos with 7 hens so that would be 89 percent fertility. I just put 16 more in the bator so I am interested to check that fertility rate. I have the first eggs in a simple styrofoam inci for hatching only, first time I have done that. So nervous that something will go wrong at the last minute and I will lose them!

Ok my genetic specialist! Here are the chicks from the second cross. (1st Cuckoo roo over red hens, 2nd red roo over cuckoo/red hens x ) I was sur







prised at the variety of colors! I assume the black ones with the white dot are going to be cuckoo boys and the pure black, sex linked girls????? Help!

I do too! That little grey is unique! I am amazed how these colors can come from red and cuckoo only crosses!
