I just noticed that something has removed by 6 month old peacock's crest. Will it grow back or will he be crestless forever?

It will grow back in a couple months not to worry, of course they might just take it again.

Just a heads up, if you have your Peafowl in a pen with other poultry (or even too many Peafowl and not enough sq feet of pen space), the other birds can be attracted to pecking the Peafowl's tail feathers and crests just out of boredom, especially if confined to close quarters. I noticed my Guinea Fowl curiously pecking at my new 2 yr old Peacock's growing train, after just a week

The Guineas are young and the Peacock is new, so everybody is confined to a coop/pen situation and cannot be free ranged yet... I relocated my Guineas to a new pen immediately. The Guineas are hating me right now, but I wanted to make sure my handsome boy will have a gorgeous train come summer time.

A couple more things thing to to consider...
If their roosts are too high and they are rubbing or bumping their crests on the ceiling or top wire of their covered pen they will wear the crests down or even completely off.

And... if there's a protein deficiency in your flock's diet they will consume/pick at feathers to try to make up the difference.
