And they are called Crested Pigeons.

I think that’s what @kenny671 may be talking about.

I've never heard of these before so I just watched a couple of YouTube videos. They're quite feisty aren't they! They make a lovely sound taking off!

Yes they are. Also, when they take off apparently the sound they make is a alert.

Also, the other pigeon/dove I have been mentioning is the Common Bronzewing. This is what they look like:

The one in the photo is a male, females don’t have the yellow/orange crown and they are coloured differently.
