chickengarden, I think his legs look longer than they should due to missing feathers? I mean, he seems bare on the sides? Which exposes his thighs a lot more than usual. The lower part seems sort of short...from that picture? As for size, that's supposed to be one of the biggest problem with the state of Creves. Mine is about to turn 22 weeks old, and just barely hits 5 lbs. I chose him for my rooster because he was the biggest, but I really wish I could have kept one of my other boys as his ears were bright red, as red as his comb and wattles. I'm wondering if I made a mistake, LOL. Anyway, they undoubtedly have some polish in them (heck, originally they must have been created from polish (as well as dorkings)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy him and that he's a good boy :D
I do enjoy him and he's great. He hasn't completely integrated with the flock yet and each night I have to go gather him from the garage where he's gone to roost and put him in the coop.
PS I was thinking the same thing about his legs. The girl I got him from cropped his wings of all their long flight feathers.

Crevs are just loons! Most of my girls choose to roost up in a tree at night. I have climbed the tree and gathered them up to put in the coop. Rain or shine they rather sleep in the tree. Some are to high up for me to get to. I wish they would just go in the coop. I worry about them. I have plenty of predators here. I keep my birds penned in a large yard with free ranging a few times a week. All the birds stay in the six foot fence except those Crevies.

I saw one hen get attacked by a coyote. She is missing feathers. I can not tell if she is wounded badly. I can not catch her. She seems to be pulling through.

I will get more pics I am sure.

She's beautiful, poularde! Looks like she wants to be a parrot? LOL, my boy jumped into the Serama cage yesterday when the Seramas were out, and I could just see the wheels in his head thinking "Gee, it looks so much bigger when they're inside?? He's such a monkey!

I'm reporting a little late as I've been working on fixing the children's rooms up lately (since before Easter, ugh!) Anyway, Belina laid her first egg yesterday. It was very slightly tinted, not as white as the leghorn eggs. This time I know it's her's for certain, so I shall report, she was.... 1 day short of 25 weeks old

Nope, I don't know what will happen, it might be discussed in one of these threads though???

Congratulations! Where did you get yours? How old are they? I got mine at ideal poultry, and they're super small (Bouillon is about 4 lbs soaking wet, and Belina is probably 2.5lbs) They were born mid October 2012. I'm hoping to hear back from exop as I would like to hatch some of her eggs??

that she contacts me soon.

I will say that one of my boys ended up with perfect red earlobes, but he was smaller than Bouillon, so I gave him away. I visited him before he got adopted and that's when I saw his ears had developed to be pure red. Coulda kicked myself at that point for giving him away, as I understand red earlobes are difficult to get. Bouillon's earlobes are turning darker but there are still plenty of white spots coming through.
