I don't give out my number until all the details are worked out, and a meeting time and place are all arranged. I work out all the details through email, and wont deal with anyone who seems the least bit weird or pushy. I've had mostly good luck doing it this way, and have sold many eggs, hatching eggs, chicks and roosters on there. I'm also super paranoid, so always meet in public during daylight hours. Most people are nice, but the weirdos are out there,too. You can't be too careful!

I have had more people come here than I can count to purchase stuff. but between the guns on the wall, big barking dog, intimidating DH, and NOSEY neighbors. I dont worry to much lol

Ok so say you get someone who is foreign who calls you about an ad and you cant understand that that well..
Is it rude or bad business to keep saying 'Im sorry I cant understand'
What do you do?

Real Scenerio

Ad: 2 free roosters, raised from chicks blah blah blah yes free, take them, nice birds


Respondant: Are they hens? How much are you asking
Me: No they are roosters, and they are free
Respondant: Oh, I was wanting hens, would you accept a trade?
(me thinking, really???? a trade for free roosters?
Me: I have all my pens full with my breeders at the moment, don't need anymore birds
Respondant: So you'll trade?
Me: No, are you interested
Respondant: I think I will get them, I have a bunch of hens, and a few roosters
Me: when would you like to pick them up?
Respondant: Can you deliver?
Me: No but we can meet at the feedstore down the road
Respondant: Where is there a feedstore around here?
Me: Corner of _______ and _______
Respondant: Cool, I guess I can get chicken food now. What do they eat? I've been giving mine dog food but they aren't laying me good eggs.
