Yes, I raised 1000's and 1000's and fed them to the chickens as well as worms.

Crickets are a good treat and I'd feed them to mine, but I breed dubia for my reptiles so I tend to feed the chickens my extras of those instead. Plus, I raised them so I know what they've been eating since birth!

I don't feed crickets to my chickens. But when I'm emptying the ducks' kiddie pools and dislodge crickets that were hiding underneath, the girls chase and devour them with gusto!

I train my little chicks with them. I will put a few crickets under a dixie cup. i put cups all around and use my 3 foot long wooden dowel to scratch the ground by the cup while calling the chicks. when they come i knock the cup over. When i call and scratch the ground they know i found something to eat. In just a few minutes i have become the pied piper. I can call them across the yard and they come running. after a few days of cricket cups i can heard them around the flower beds while i weed.

I keep them for the bearded dragons and give the leftovers to the chickens, they love them! Mealworms are also very popular with chickens and are easy to breed.
