What a great story.
VTW.... Rumples, my crippled hen, is now broody and I am going to get her some chicks tomorrow. She will once again have purpose and some company.
Rumples with her chicks on their first outing. They are now a little over one week old. She is doing quite well and she tries real hard to not step on them when she stumbles around. She is a good Momma hen.
