Ah - I was thinking that you might be letting them go broody.

That would turn into an addiction for me... baby ducklings are too cute. Also the city council doesn't allow cockerels.

We made ours too large, it could easily divide into 3 but we decided to leave it, the girls caught us off guard by laying sooner than we expected, so now it's this fairly large box, they just lay to each side, works fine for ours.

How big are your nest boxes?
