"You don't need to ask King Humphrey, we'll be back so soon that he'll never notice you're gone! Besides, if he does notice he'll probably just think you got eaten by something."

Lily glanced around. "Well, I guess no one is coming. I'll go and get eaten by those cannibals myself."

"Oh, fine. But I'm hungry, so after we jump out we have to get those mosquitoes." Hyla said. She then proceeded to jump out of the tree right on top of Lily. She smacked into her and they both rolled back into the Lake. "At least my aim is getting better," Hyla groaned as she hopped out of the water.

Lily groaned. "Hyla! I knew you were following me!"

"Ooh, can I try!" Without waiting for an answer, Hawk jumped out of the tree, missed her mark, and hit the ground with a thud.

Hyla rushed over to Hawk. "Are you okay? Don't try to jump unless you've practiced!" Hyla scolded.

"I'm fine." Hawk snapped, embarrassed. "How long how you been practicing?" Her words had some sting in them.

"About a week or so. I knew I was ready to fall from trees after I jumped off a vine square onto Pepper's head," said Hyla.

Lily tried hard not to laugh. "Seriously? I'm trying to go spy on the Rock Tribe!" She said with dignity.

"Oh god, Lily. Why would they send you there? If you get spotted, it's certain death, and the Rock Tribe hasn't had a frog snack in years." Hyla said, scared just thinking about the fate that awaited them. Why would Humphrey send her to the Rock Tribe of all places?
