Crochet along Doily Join us

I just made this one for my mom's 60th birthday and it was very well received. The pattern is from 1953.

Wow that is very pretty!! Nice job. Was it hard to make?

Not hard to make at all. It is mostly chain stitches and double crochet. I thought it would be a great "beginner" doily for a CAL like this where some people may not have worked with thread/made doilies before. It is simple, but still interesting to stitch as you watch the pinwheel form. And it looks awesome as the centerpiece on my mom's kitchen table!

Have fun. I will try to answer questions if your having a problem with the pattern. I have looked at it and it looks pretty easy. I will start mine tonight. I have to work on my cat quilt during the days. Please post pictures of your progress. The pattern is available in .pdf format for better printing. No ads.

I haven't read the pattern, but it looks like a lot of motifs/ends to work in?

I use a tapestry needle to weave in the ends when the doily is done. Or you could use your hook. It's not hard. Really it's not. It's more time consuming than hard.
