We went to the cemetery to visit brother's grave, and when we were leaving my 2 littlest ones were running and jumping over people's headstones. I was imagining their brother running and jumping between them & I started crying. My 5 year old asked me why I was crying and I told him that I wished Franklin was running with them. Then Levi proceeded to run faster and tripped onto the road...HARD!!! I had to laugh then and say NEVERMIND, I didn't mean it cause I'm sure he would be just a accident prone and I don't think I CAN HANDLE ANY MORE!!!!

Happy belated Mother's Day to everyone!

Things are crazy busy here on my end. My daughter's schedule has us really hopping lately. She had her school's Art Show last Thur night. She was one of the 12 eight graders that had a spot light table to display her art work. She had Jr. Honor Society Award Night on Friday night. I'm so proud of her. I just had to brag!

I'm leaving tomorrow for D.C. to chaperone my daughter's 8th grade trip. It will be a whirl wind tour, but should be lots of fun.

I'm actually going to take some yarn to crochet on the plane. Talk to everyone when I get back.

yea! I can't wait to get them, this is soooo much fun. Hubby bought me a new crochet tool and 3 boxs of new yarn he's so sweet. well off to play with my new stuff. Maw.

Oh, oh!! I am so selfish, I hope I was one of the first 12!!!

How do you all connect granny squares? Do you hand sew them or crochet them together? I've been playing around, trying to figure it out, but granny squares are new to me, so what do you all do?

Here's a doll blanket I made for my daughter out of granny squares when I was playing around with different techniques.

She likes it so much, now I'm working on a twin-size one for her bed.
