And, am I to assume that more height means less rounds to finally achieve the 6" size?


Yea, I'm learning a lot of terminology!
If I could learn the technique that quick, just think of what I could do,

Do any of you have a good online tutorial or book to suggest? I have this beautiful yarn(black, grey, white, and silver) that I would love to crochet into granny squares, then make it into a purse lined with white satin/silk. I think It would look amazing. Not to mention the afgan possibilities. Personally, I'm more of a knitter, but I would love to crochet more. Thanks again!
