Still working on the blanket. Had to change skeins of white yarn last night. Hoping there’s enough pink to finish

Does anyone use a lighted crochet hook? I put one on my birthday list to hopefully help use the dark chenille yarn I got

I think maybe the hook is a good idea.
It has been impressed upon me by a few people that we should not use dark colors, white, or textured until we are more accomplished in what we’re doing. unfortunately, one of my colors is navy blue, and another is white. I have an easy-ish time with the white, but I feel you on the dark being impossible.
