All of my afghans are single crochet…….my bag is double crochet and my granny squares are double crochet

I bought chunky yarn for the next lapghan….navy and white. I plan to use a 15mm hook

Double is probably my favorite, it’s just a fast stitch for me. A single is definitely prettier (I think) but it’s so slow going! Especially for a blanket. Definitely a nice stitch, pleasing to the eye and not as “loose” as a double.

I’m thinking of doing chunky in HDC or following secret yarnery with a sc/hdc/dc pattern

Yes!!! You HAVE to post pics! The biggest hook I have is a 30mm. I’ve never used it tho, it’s gigantic!!

How does it look with 2 colors? I’ve got navy and white 4 and 2 skeins

I’d personally do 9/6. Or 7/4. If you did 12/6 whatever color is 6, would really pop though! I think anything you choose will look great.
