I finished my 3rd blanket today!

Started a new project yesterday with the most gorgeous yarn ever! I'll have to show a picture when I get one. It's deep red, and a bit variegated. I'm making fingerless gloves for my sister with it, and the pattern really shows off the variegation.

I love variegated yarn. It’s so much fun!

What is the name of this yarn?

How does one learn how to crochet anyway? I've tried to learn from an instructional book with pictures and that didn't work either. Perhaps I'm not cut out for it.
My Grandmother taught me how to knit. I taught myself how to crochet out a pattern book. Now when I look at my finished projects from years ago I see all the mistakes I made. It's all trial and error, just don't give up.:love

I usually like to just do one project at a time. I will make an exception if the project is hurting my wrist/arm; I’ll start a different project with different stitches to help ease the pain!
When I get frustrated with the afghan I'm doing I'll throw it behind my recliner and start an easier one.

I’m gonna quit trying single crochet (not really)! It’s wavy at the bottom despite redoing it several times, and keeping loose. Now I am going narrower. Again, a tension problem. :he I don’t have a wave problem with other stitches. I do have tension as the project gets heavier, so the narrowing.
When I wash & dry my afghans the stitches/tension tend to straight themselves out.
