Crocheters Thread

Heres the pattern I used, I tried a lot of different ones for the classic square and this one is the best. This is a blanket pattern, but all it is is just the granny square pattern + connecting instructions so just ignore the connecting part. I think using the right size hook and making the DC's tall and loose also helped a lot.

I just spent like half my day crocheting and I'm so happy with what I've done, lol. My wrist is now aching so badly and my hook is making creaking noises against the yarn so I'm gonna stop. I'm actually so shocked I did all of this. I don't know how I'll finish my blanket (probably will be a baby blanket since I have a baby in the house anyway)but if I have a few more days like today I could get a lot done. Oh and the lion is so cute. I spent like 1/2 hour on the mane but it was definitely worth it.

I spent all morning yesterday and today working on these Moo Moo Meadows cows for my two grandkids. I still have to embroider on the mouths. And, I’m making a Luigi costume for my grandson’s. (And a Waluigi hat.) Still have to make the overalls, and put the L’s on the hats. We fly out Saturday night, so my deadline is looming!

You can do it!! The cows look great. I’m also on a crochet time crunch… I’m soooo close to finishing this doll for my daughter. The hair is exhausting. So many stitches! And my wrist and arm really hurt when I work so hard but I have to get it done. AND make a dress for her because I can’t gift her in her birthday suit!! 😂🫠😵‍💫

You can do it too!

Be thankful that you don’t have to brush all that hair out! Yesterday when I was making the tufts on the ends of the cow tails, I was just planning to unply the yarn strands. But in looking for a quicker way to do that, I learned that you can brush or comb the yarn to make it totally fluffy.

I also learned that it’s way faster to unply the fringe if you do each piece of yarn before you put the fringe clump together and knot it on.
