Crocheters Thread

Last night I had to rip out 6 rows of my afghan. I usually do 2 rows a day, I guess 3 days ago I was tired and goofed up. There was only 2 stitches that was wrong but it threw the pattern off. :barnie
I hate frogging!! It’s so demoralizing haha

Aw, that’s frustrating! :hugs But it will be ok. We’ve all been there.

Noooo! I hate when that happens. I saw someone doing "crochet surgery" on Reddit and thought it was interesting. I've never done it but you cut the yarn at specific places so that you can undo some stitches and tie the yarn back together, and it just happens to be the perfect amount of yarn to weave back into the work. Maybe you can give it a try?

The exact same thing literally just happened to me! After I sent the picture of my sweater project I started on the collar. It took me about 1 1/2 hours and then I realized I did it on the wrong side 🤦🏻‍♀️
Not as big of a time sacrifice as you had, but I am officially pissed, lol.

A couple of things I’ve been working on lately.

I’m combing the internet for all different kinds of flower squares and making each square a different flower until I use up that purple yarn. Then I’m going to do other sets of squares in different color combinations and other types of flowers to make a garden blanket. I found one YouTuber who has lots of specific flowers that look so beautiful.

And, I thought I was a little weird because I really enjoy detangling yarn. I think it’s my OCD that just feels compelled to keep at it. It’s so rewarding when you hit a patch that just comes all loose at once. But then I found out that there are lots of people who do this!

I made this mess because the yarn smelled like cigarette smoke. I have washed and dried single skeins of yarn before in lingerie bags and they don’t usually get too tangled. But I had a lot of this, and I got lazy and put several skeins in each bag.

Well that was a mistake!

So I get it out once in a while and play with it. Here is what I got finished before Thanksgiving (plus one more bag to work on).
