FYI, I'm talking about just tubing, not tubing and vomiting.

Well, I am glad you have mastered it. Not easy to do for most people. Everybody has their "thing" in treating birds. Some methods sit well with some and not with others. So we do what we are comfortable with and what matters in the end is that we save our birds when in peril. There are many options to treating issues in our birds and these forums contain many methods in which to do so.

Tube feeding is the easiest thing to do,tried it for the first time and i had to tube bird myself as i was the only one home at the time. Never had any problems,it was either tube my bird or he would die. So yes,i too would recommend tube feeding if chicken is not eating/drinking and no other methods are working. Chickens require a constant supply of food to fuel their high metabolism,no food and they become weak and body starts to shut down. They will appear lethargic as they are shutting down,trying to conserve what little energy they have left. Not to mention that they become dehydrated very fast.

Will not comment on epsom salt flush as i have never tried it,will keep it in mind though.

I have heard that some people will gently hold their chickens upside down and begin to massage his/her's crop, and the chicken will then vomit it all up. I considered doing this to Dolly, but then I was worried that the vomit might get in her lungs. Yesterday, my sister tilted her slightly ford and began to massage her crop in a downward motion. Almost at once, she vomited. We did not want to turn her upside down for fear she might choke to death. Sooo... what do ya'll think? Should I try this? Your replies were VERY helpful. Thank you sosososo much!

Guess what, everybody?
Dolly is FINALLY well! Thank you for all your advice!!! I'm so happy to see her eating away in the coop, like a little piggy.! Her poop is much larger, and her crop is NORMAAAAAL!! Hooray!
