Crops?

Hi everyone!

I've heard about chickens' crops, and I know where that are in chickens and that they're like little air sacks, but that's about all.

I would just appreciate it if you could share any knowledge that you have about crops - diseases and sicknesses in them, what their function is, how full they get at certain times, etc. Also about sour crop. I've heard of it, but what does it smell like, and how does it affect the chicken?
