Cross bred - what do they become?

I had to ask what breed my rooster is and was told that it is a red sex link (or a gold sex link - both just different names for the same thing). My hens are different breeds. What are the chicks from the hatchings?

I guess I'm not sure myself? But when a large breed (Gold Sex Link) is bred with a bantam - does it become a bantam - just plain crossbred - without a specific designation. I know that new breeds have been created by crossbreeding.

When you breed cross bred chickens, you get mutts. My favorite chickens are my mutts!

Thanks for the response. I had chickens when I was a kid, but didn't know much about them. Guess I still don't. But they are fun and I'm enjoying them.
