I have enjoyed reading what I missed while I was out of town. We spent Easter weekend celebrating my Mother-in-law's 80th birthday. Everyone was there - all six of her children and their families. 15 grandkids and 16 great grandchildren. Lots of pictures. It was hectic but seeing the joy on her face made it worth it.

I enjoy reading about your daily activities in your different locations. It's nice to learn different things from people in different places.

Bill, I love the story about the horse. So, you found this horse on the road, and you kept it, and used it for work? How many years did you have it?

I think Bill means his cat had kittens!

Good morning! Looks like a beautiful day today. I'll be planting some cauliflower and broccoli seedlings (I am behind schedule but hoping they'll bring something before it gets too hot), moving some seedlings into larger planters, cleaning brooders and coops, going to the feed store in Liberty, and maybe getting the horses in to get some of their winter coats off. Also have a paddock to get cleaned up for a boarder's horse that is a founder risk - we'll be moving him in there with a round bale to avoid the green grass that's bound to be popping up this week with this good weather. After I get all that done, then I gotta go to work!!! Whew!

Wowee and I thought I was gonna be busy!! Today I am on kidding call, planting lettuce and beans(maybe) and transplanting some of my greenhouse tomatoes and peppers to bigger pot's. Have a duck pasture to attempt to clean and a rabbit warren to dig out! Hope you have a great day to!!!

We grow lettuce in the small herb bed by the kitchen. It is SO tender and good!!! So much better than what you get in the stores. Delicious salads all summer!!
