Cross Continental Friends!!!

today i went to the fruit market. they tried to sell me five pounds of oranges for 5 dollars but on a sign it said 3 dollars so i got them to give me bananas with the oranges. they also charged me 2 dollars for a pound of ginger. i really do not think the ginger should have cost that much(good thing i am starting to grow my own). i do not think it is even that much in the stores. today was not a good day at the market.

makes me laugh when she lays with her back legs like that.

my tea! i love it.

i think she does it to help keep cool sense the house gets a little hot some days.

the tea has cinnamon, clove, anise, ginger, squeezed orange juice, one squeezed lime and a couple lime leaves. i think the leaves help give it a citrus flavor.

the island never paid its debt and now the people of the island are scared that the states are going to try to offer us money to try to get us to become independent. they think they are trying to get rid of us. if they do do this we would be dead. the island could not survive without the states. they are even thinking of lowering minimum wage to people who are under 25. if you are under 25 they want to lower the wage to $4 dollars if you are over 25 then you get paid $7.25. this is not even live able. i feel like the states likes to take advantage of places and then when they are done with them and do not want to help them they just toss them out and find a new one. right now cuba is seen as the new puerto rico that is how some puerto ricans see it.

the zika virus has also killed one person on the island the other day. i hope i do not get it, but i think that is unavoidable. they say 1 in five are going to get it.
