A lot of people actuallly don't know chickens can fly, it's even on Sesame street, not sure if some of you know what that is, Super Grover is the love of my life though for those of you who do know it!

Well....my arm might be sprained and all but it's my left arm and I am right handed so if I need to punch my drunk neighbor or his creepy and most likely drunk friend in the face I am prepared to do so! Well actually I said that so I could resist doing it.

Hubby, bless him, came into the garden area and looked at the potatoes and asked me what was growing so vigorously! So, the conclusion is that they are doing very, very well. Everything is but the peppers who have been struck by aphids or something similar.
Miss Hugo decided she needed a bath today. She was in such rapture in the water, it was fun to watch.

So I can't remember if I had ever mentioned the little baby Mockingbird that I hand raised last year, Her name is Abbey and my mom found her at work abandoned with her shredded nest all around her so she brought the little baby home to me and I raised up to full grown and released her. She has stayed around and lands on our porch to eat and hangout, last fall she found a mate whom I have lovingly nicknamed Steve (don't ask why, I don't know) and this spring she built a nest. This is a picture of her almost two week old baby, she and Steve had three and they are very busy keeping track of them ( as am I ) as they are currently learning to fly. So this is my baby's baby, well one of them, the others would not let me find them to take their pictures!

I don't know if my men respect me so much or don't respect me at all

I fall asleep in front of the house, planning about today's work, sit on a chair

I wake up right now, after at least six hours of chairsleeping, with my dog on the left, Pecorino on the right and a cat on the legs, my ears and nose are freezing and there's a November fog

Maybe they just know that you get so little sleep they don't want to wake you up because they know you wouldn't fall asleep again! Just a guess. It is unseasonably cold here right now to, a very chilly wind. I don't know why but I find myself going to bed later an later lately. Still get up on time though!
