Crossing Blue and Buff

Hello, just jumping in here.... What do you mean when you say the males will be split for buff? Sorry new the chicken world and curious about this topic. I have a beautiful blue cochin cockerel and buff cochin pullet. Wondering what I would get from their eggs. And does this mean I would be able to sex them at hatch? Thanks!
Split for buff means they don't show the Buff Gene but do carry it. For example if you breed two split birds you would have some goslings hatch out Buff while the others would be Blue.

Marin they are discussing geese here, and color genetics in geese and chickens are different from names of colors to how they cross.

Oregon, we have blue, lavender and buff Americans (since i saw you asked if there was any other colors)
