Keep us informed on how that works out. Its fun to tinker with breeding and see what you can make of it. Its a heck of a lot more fun than reading about it. Whats the worst that can happen? you end up eating eggs that weren't the color you intended? they are still going to taste good!Although digressing a bit from the meat topic and RRx’s, I’ve got three boys with potential blue genetics an ameraucana/Marans cross, and leghornxCCL, and an ameraucana/Isbar cross. Is that behavior normal amongst two or more broody hen?Just a picture to share as I kill time before I start weighing Nake Neck X Red Rangers. I have 2 mama Dorkings and unfortunately they are fighting over resources and chicks are leaving one mama to live with the more dominate mama. I was hoping they would work together and not fight but oh well. I am learning how broody mamas interact. I have had 7 broodies so far this year, one is still on her eggs (serama).View attachment 1761180
I have no idea, this is my first year with 2 broody hens at the same time and my 2nd year with broody hens in general... or the 2nd year I had broody hens and a Rooster at the same time.Is that behavior normal amongst two or more broody hen?
