Crowing at 4:30-4:54am. Why?

I'm guessing he probably used to crow around 6 am? Our clocks changed, the bird's didn't. To him, he's still crowing at the same time.

You aren't alone! My 4 month roo was crowing at 7:45 as it got light. perfect. Then the clocks went back and he started at 5am, pitch black. He does about 10, stops then comes back at 6:30. Almost to the minute every day. I have a barn that I plan to move the coop into to muffle him a bit and make darker. Maybe try a tarpaulin or something over the coop at night?

Awww what a little cutie!! Mine started at about 10wks, he really gave me a run for my money on he versus she. He looked so much like a little girl chick for a long time (my first cockerel, and he was suppose to be a she, but now I know more to look for for future buff orpington chicks)!

I could tell mine was a boy when he was 3 days old. He was always pushing the other 4 around and he was the loudest peeper. A couple of days later I could tell by his beak. We've never had chickens before and it was easy to tell their gender. He's already practicing his mating skills too, he's only 4 weeks old! Silly chicken. Everything seems to be happening early, they are mixed chickens though, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

See, it wasn't like that with mine. He is a VERY docile dude. He didn't chest bump, boss around, none of that stuff. He didn't even LOOK bigger until he was a couple months old! His feathers were a little darker in color than my female's were, but he didn't have the saddle feathers, thick legs, nothing! He matched my female almost identical in size, he only had a few ounces on her in weight (I weighed them regularly when they were inside)! His comb wasn't even huge until about 2mos too. 

I think everything is happening early with mine because they're mixed. We could tell by their tail feathers too when they were a few days old. The females had fuzzys for tails, and the little rooster had real feathers sticking out. He was also bigger than the others and he held his head high.
