Crowing

Hi All,

Do crowing roosters teach other roosters to crow?

I'm not really supposed to have chickens, but I got some girls at the feed store in March, as they grew....one is a rooster. Mine are VERY quiet. Almost zero noise, and the roo has made no noise at all. I've found a home for him if he starts to crow, but I'm waiting to see how he does.

My immediate neighbor got a rooster from somewhere (no one knows I've got mine), and it crows all dang day plus his own dogs bark at it! I'm afraid mine will start or he'll draw too much attention to us.

I LOVE this forum! It's been so helpful that I haven't needed to actually ask anything before....tons of info here

I think crowing come naturally. Hopefully yours is a quiet guy, but he's still young. Good luck

He's been super quiet so far, but they all have. One Aracauna is so funny...makes a weird chirping noise to let my oldest daughter (Maddy) know she wants attention RIGHT NOW

It only happens if Maddy hasn't held her that day while doing her reading homework.
