Yup, I got West Nile from a mosquito bite about 10 years ago. Not fun. Terrible headaches and fever for 3 weeks. That's when I started feeding my wrens, and building them nesting boxes all over the place. I have 6 mama wrens currently hatching their second clutches for this year in my coops. They get dusted twice a summer at night when they are in their houses. I put out water with Wazine once a month too. Last year was a terrible one for fowl pox in S.C.. No sign of pox here. The wrens and the fans kept the mosquitos at bay. It's fun to watch all their babies fledge at one time too. For some reason all the babies fledge at once, and there are about 30 babies fluttering about the coops for a day or so. My husband just laughs, and builds more houses for the new babies.Opps got my viruses mixed I guess. There are soooo many of the things lately. You had that stuff. Yikes.
The crows are very very smart!!!
