Cruel tricks I like to play on my dog.

Oh c'mon...it's not like the dogs don't get their own jollies when it's -10* outside and you're outside in a bathrobe thinking that they will be REALLY fast since they woke you up whining and jumping on you to go out.

Yep and the ones they love you to chase them in the dead of the winter! Playing hide and seek.

Playing with toliet paper and track them all over the house...call that fun???

I used to put throw rugs and a belt on Mom's Collies and call them ponies, they lap it up like it is so much fun!

And I used to feed the dogs alot of peanut butter to get that silly expression on their faces and tongue going crazy LOL!

I used to "goose" my Keeshond's tail HONK! and she would turn around and give me that "snarl" look.

And call me sadistic, I rest my case!

Ah...

If you say it in a NICE way like "You're a DUMB doggie aren't you?!" and say it sweet, it's just funny to see the dog go crazy and wag it's tail like it's agreeing with you.

The animals aren't being mistreated, just toyed with. If the animals didn't like it, they would have ripped our faces off by now.

Yep, I can tell the animals dont care what you call them, its the tone of voice that they are responsive to. Besides their names and commanding words, that is all they know of limited vocabulary of the dogdom.

I wasnt talking to you. i was talking to the person who started this post and said they scream at their dog, " I'm going to eat you!!" personally I think that is mean to any animal.

Why, do you think they believe it? Do you think they understand English?

American actually. AND mine can spell.

Well, I use to play fetch with my dog and once in a while I would pretend to throw the tennis ball and the dog would take off looking for it. He always gave me "that look" when he saw I still had the ball.
Now-----cats------has anyone else showed the kids what a cat does when you put pieces of scotch tape on the bottom of their feet. Seems the kids never get tired of watching the cats walk while shaking their feet each step trying to dislodge the tape. It just looks funny--------go ahead try it with fluffy, I dare you!

Well ACTUALLY dogs can not understand english but they CAN understands tones. Which means if you tone is high and sing songy and happy they will be happy because they know your happy with them. But if you raise your voice(yelling) in a low and loud tone they will know your mad at them....that type of tone should only be used when you are reprimanding them if they've done something wrong. You should NEVER turn around and yell at your dog for no reason.
