people should be shot!!
on saturday after noon my husband i and i loaded up the 3 kids in the truck to go and pick up my black lab sister that needed rehomming, it was about 45 minutes in to the 1 1/2 drive when we were following a suberban hauling a car dolly, the kids in back peacefully watching a movie, when all of a sudden my husband it jamming on the brakes and trying to keep control of the truck....to my horror the driver of the suberban threw out of the driver side window a grey little kitten, the kitten landed on the road at about 67 miles per hour missed the back tires of the suberban and skided to the side of the road......the sick S.O.B never even braked to see if the kitten was ok....my husband being a cop wanted to chase the S.O.B down...but me being the animal lover forced him to pull over to check if the kitten was ok, we never found it.
we flaged a state trooper out of garden city down and told him what had happend, we never got the tag number but trust me on the rest of the trip i was looking for that S.O.B, in the end the trooper went to the closest farm house to ask them to keep a eye out for a injured kitten if it did appear there, we also notice that on our way back that the trooper was in the area where it happend...my husband reinsured the kids that he was there to catch the bad guy who did that to the kitten. in kansas it a felony if your cought being cruel to a animal

fowler that is horrible. I have seen this before...when I was 16 and it was puppies. I wrecked my first car trying to avoid puppies. It used to make me ill and now it makes me madder than a wet hen. People can be so sick and twisted.

I'm for harsher punishment for cruelty, any kind of it. I'd like to see some public executions of murderers, rapists, and child molesters. Instead my tax dollars go towards putting them up at club fed. (or club state) We could at least bring back the town stocks. It would help sell rotten fruit at the farmers markets

As for the news, not watching it wont make it go away. That's ostrich like behavior. Just be careful not to take everything at face value.

The media likes to put humanity's worst foot forward but I depend on the morning news to keep connected to the happenings in my town and the world. Granted if you want the real story you have to dig deeper than just the TV or newsprint, but it at least reminds me that I should be paying attention.

Of course a lot of the emotionally charged, highly controversial stories that come up are likely just decoys. Something to get people fighting amongst each other while the real story, say a new bill being put forth, goes unnoticed on page 25 down at the bottom.

How about those crazy kids in North Korea eh?

I agree when a animal hurts a person they are confined or "put down" and a human abuser gets what a year in jail? Thats Bull ....! I belive the human should be "put down". People think People are more important than animals well guess what?! Thats where they are wrong! Think of this planet w/o animals everything would die, but see if HUMANS died out it wouldn't effect much and what it would effect would just be good on the enviroment and the animals living in it. I think its wrong they killed and skinned the dog but I don't see the difference between the dog and a ratcoon, deer, skunk, beaver, fox, coyotee, bear they're all animals and can feel and think just like you and I some people think differently, some people think they are stupid brutes put on this planet for us to eat and serve our "needs". DON'T WEAR FUR! if you saw how fur in China is "produced", and most fur isn't even fox, or rabbit its cheaper for China just to catch stray cats and dogs off the street.

I am all for castration of rapists and molestors, slow torture for animal abusers and spouse abusers. The electric chair and lethal injection is just too dang quick and nice.

I watched Ted Bundy be executed and the few seconds he was being fried was NOTHING compared to the hours and hours he tortured those nurses before he brutally killed them. I think they should all get what they give.

As for moving into the mountains...I think it will keep me from snapping on the idiots in society that harm children and animals....I am getting old and cranky...


I told my grandfathers as a child that I wanted to grow up and have my own town...where the elders were taken care of and they would become the teachers...the men and women would take care of them all and provide for them all...and the punishment fit the crime...that is still my heart's desire. If you are quilt maker...you make the quilts for everyone...if you make jelly, you make jelly for everyone, if you garden...you garden for everyone...etc etc.

I saw an abandoned town for sale recently...including its own post office. LOL The only thing that kept me from buying it was the fact it was in California.

So...keep your eyes out for a good mountain that we can all move too with our chickens, ducks and critters...and shoot things that harm them.

Being a devils advocate here....

It's interesting how we seperate the killing of a puppy for leather from the killing of other animals for leather. How is there that much difference. Do those other animals suffer less? Are people killing market animals for leather destined to become serial killers too?

Animals are animals...they all can suffer. I rehab injured, cast-off and wild animals, so I have a strong heart. I just wish people felt the same for the suffering of all animals

BTW, I am an omnivore and no member of PETA!! LOL!
