Crumbles it Mash

Crumbles OR Mash:
Just hatched a bunch of chicks yesterday and today. Is starter crumbles appropriate or do they need to start on a mash feed?

Crumbles are fine, even for bantam chicks. Mary

Occasionally, I'll buzz some in the blender if the crumbles seem to be on the large size.
