I want to work with stock from certain lines, and I'm also trying to build up my own breeding stock of olive eggers, so being able to do a hatch at home gives me more flexibility. I just need more practice, and to have some breeding pens so I don't have to buy shipped eggs anymore.
I'm also only on my 4th hatch, so I'm sure ill get better. And I'm using a little giant foam bator with all its hassles. I'm hoping to build one with a better thermostat before I'm ready to do test breedings this fall.
It's just aggravating to have a low hatch, especially if its my own fault.
