here's my story and the group effort that fixed it. Instead of the honey, just go for the vitamin E as already mentioned. I have found it to be the fastest way to get it gone and safest as well. Hope it helps!
x2 and keeping her inside with dizzy Pekin is best for her to give her a fighting chance at getting over this, you don't want to find her infested with maggots. at least she has company , .and thank you Haunted I had completely forgot about the Vit. E and bought some to have on hand if I ever needed it.

Maggots makes any problem worse, I agree. I kept Sechs in for days and days, and this was after getting the prolapsed tissue back into place and held with stitches. The light stimulates egg laying, and that is what I did not want. Dark, in away from flies, quiet, maybe with some eggs and a buddy is what I'd do. Sechs has been spending most of every day in the night pen since the prolapse. Her vent is looking good right now, but I know it will be risky when she begins to lay again. They can pull through it, but not all do, so try to give her every opportunity to rest from laying and let the tissue recover.
