Cubalaya Thread For Sharing Pics and Discussing Our Birds

I have 2 red pyles the other is much darker red than this one, as you can see the hen in the back is not cubalaya she is a spanish x asil experimenting for satsumadori. She is on eggs now. Looking for a Black red cubalaya hen not a wheaton.
 

This cock now has a spangled hen the black hen has a little brown red on neck barely visible, she is over a dark bbred male will get more pics out soon
 
I have a pair of cubalaya bantams that are for sale up till saturday, male is blue wheaton of my own crossing and the hen is his mother a wheaton from Zook, Both have white in the earlobes tho. anyone interested call if not they go to manheim auction saturday morning. 610 928 7187
 
That white in the earlobes is a butt to get out. It can be done but takes a lot of time and patience; something I've found is lacking in most these days.
 
Here are some more pics of my Welp birds. Lighting was better this morning and there was no wind, but they were all in grooming mode with their feathers all puffed up and like always, all bunched up together. You can really see the hackle coloring on these cockerels is different then my Zooks. It starts off kind of yellow at the bottom and gets darker red at the top.
