Cubalaya Thread For Sharing Pics and Discussing Our Birds

Why did you get rid of them? I love that black male. But the confirmation on the duckwing looks really good.
Some died, some got sold. You cant keep them all. After showing that i can breed cubalayas in any color, i decided to concentrate on the best and rarest: the white cubalaya

Does any one sell cubalayas anymore? I see bantams but no largefowl except sandhill preservation. I am raising more whites this year than i have in awhile. I also ordered some redpyles from sandhill. I know Caroline and Johnathan still raise some. Anyone else? White Cubalayas?
I hardly sell live birds anymore, toward the end of 2024 I went from 100+ bantam and standard combined to 27 birds. Eleven standard and the rest are bantam.
I have mostly blacks, a couple whites and a blue hen in standard size.
In bantams I have a couple duns, one solid pullet and a golden crow wing cockerel, a couple wheaten hens, a khaki breeding male, four blues and six blacks.

Yes, you can still find bantams but largefowl is more critical than when i first started. Do you know any sources of large fowl?

I don’t unless Charles Everett has some.
Haven't talked to him in years. Its been years since he posted on here. Here is a young cock with older hen

Talked to Linda Bayliss yesterday. She no longer has Cubalayas but is thinking of getting a few when they repair some coops. They had some quality Cubalayas for many years

here is another

in cubalayas the blacks and brown reds should be slate. the first rooster is furness colored and has the wheaton leg color. this brown red pullet has the slate legs.
