Cubalaya Thread For Sharing Pics and Discussing Our Birds

nI have decided to sell this cock. He is a Black mottled Cubalaya, hatched spring of 2011. I've used him for breeding the past 2 seasons and have decided to move on with some of his descendants. I am keeping some of his children and grandchildren, and siblings. He weighs 7 pounds, and has multiple spurs. This is probably the largest Cubalaya cock any of you will have the chance to purchase. Everything is great about him except the tail is not perfect, he has more or less an Asil or Sumatra like tail. He has a great temperament, is very fertile, and produces very large offspring. He would be great for someone looking to add calm temperaments, large size, or multiple spurs into their birds. Price is negotiable, and of course will include shipping and box if you are not local. I am located in Central PA myself. I can also provide a matching black mottled daughter with him if someone is seriously interested in working with this color, the hen will be extra of course, but, there is one available.

good luck with your sale gallo, i have a few extras if anyone is interested. i am very pleased with the grades that i have on the ground so far. i have a 3/4 cubalaya 1/4 thai with perfect color but looks too thai-ish. his sister is more cubalayish and great color. i also have some 1/2 cuba 1/2 asil that are looking awesome. i am very excited about next springs hatches.

Troyer ended up taking him and his daughter both. I am happy they are in good hands.
The cock is half black and half wheaten, with mottling and carrying recessive white. He came out of white parents. I have a few black mottled sons of his that may be pure for black, but they have cushion combs.
