Thanks for the input. How long does it take for the coloring to reach its final point?

At least 8 months; because it should take a cockerel that long to develop his tail. That is when you'll notice if there is white in the tail. When the tail is 3/4s length it may be perfectly black only to show white near the base of the sickle feathers in months 7 and 8.

yea but they still look nice. i started a project for duckwing bantams this year and got a second hatch through.

I don't know his weight but I'm guessing he's around 2 lbs. He is crossed out and also has a cushion comb.
