Cuckoo Maran Juvenile - Pullet or Cockerel?

Flint is a Cuckoo Maran who I hatched with my children's daycare on April 10 from a beautiful brown egg.

We have always suspected that he is a cockerel but have been going back and forth as the chicks age. He has gray/white legs and a pink single comb that is white on the ridges.

I've attached photos and attempted to get several angles. I've also included photos that document growth and development

What do you think?

Looks light (cockerel like), but that comb is tiny and I see virtually no wattles. I'm on the fence. Post updated pics in a few weeks.

Correct. Flint is six weeks old.

I fixed my reply. For some reason I thought you posted again and said he was one month old. That confused me. He's almost 7 weeks.

Sorry for the confusion! Yes he's almost 7 weeks now. I've been attempting to determine saddle/hackle feathers but don't notice anything distinct yet. I don't have another cuckoo to compare him to but the other cockerels in my clutch are pretty obvious with red or dark pink combs and wattles.

Saddles won't come in until around 12 weeks. In another couple weeks, you can start parting the feathers over his saddle area and looking for emerging male saddles. Sometimes they come in early, but are hidden by the rest of the feathers.

I had read somewhere that cuckoo's can be sort of auto sexing which is why I had been saying cockerel (note his head spot)
