Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on enola. Your bird is definitely not a Cuckoo Marans or a pullet. It looks like a Blue Marans, and if it is crowing at that age, it is a cockerel. Hens do crow on very rare occasions, but it's almost always a hen over 2 years old that has taken over the role of the rooster in a roosterless flock. My Cuckoo Maran is 70 days old and I think it’s a Rooster. Does anyone adopt these chickens? I live in an area where I can have Hens only. If I can’t find a good home I will have to have Bertha put down by my vet.
