Cuckoo Marans cockerel?

Do Cuckoos have the white skin? My Copper hen has black skin. Also Ruffles has feathered shanks, is that a Marans trait or exclusive to the Black Copper?
All Marans have white skin. Coppers have black legs, but if you look at the bottoms of their feet they should be white, not yellow. Cuckoo Marans should have white skin and white legs. As far as feathered shanks go, standards vary, but it's a trait in most Marans that I've seen and it occurs in all color varieties. So, yes, it is entirely possible your cockerel is BC Marans x cuckoo Marans.

At 12 weeks, that looks to be a cockeral.

It is not a pure Marans, and no, it is not just a color difference achieved by Cuckoo to Black Copper Marans...you'd still end up with Cuckoo or Sexlinks with some gold bleed through depending upon who the hen and rooster were, if they were purebreeds.

In my opinion, it does not have a true Marans body type.

It is a mix, and looks to be rooster. Sorry.
