I bought him as purebred and saw both parents which were both excellent quality. But he doesn’t seem like true pekin. What do you think? The breeder only had Pekins all free ranging probably about 80 all up, with fenced off area to keep various colours. A pic of someone’s pekin of same age may help. Thanks100% cockerel. He's not show quality, that's for sure, but he's probably purebred. I wouldn't be surprised if this bird was a barred pekin crossed with some other color variety, though-- his color is washed out and the barring is messy.I bought him as purebred and saw both parents which were both excellent quality.
