I'm looking for some information related to the use of the nipple waterers versus the use of the water cups.

If you use the nipple waterers tell me what you like about them.

If you use the water cups tell me what you like about them.

When I had water run to the chicken area I had them run a pipe around three sides of the coop.

I would appreciate any help.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee, George.

Karen, I tried using nipple waterers but couldn't get my chickens to use them. Maybe you have to start when they are chicks? I've also tried the cups, which work fine. I liked that the water jug was large and enclosed. But those little cups would get pretty dirty and I had to clean them out every day. Not very different than cleaning out the waterers every day anyway. I quit using them because they froze in the winter leaving the chickens without water at all.

I think @pennyJo1960 has had better luck with nipples.

Good morning can only keep up with so many threads.
I use the nipples hate the cups waste of money horizontal nipples
out the side.. Hold key birds let them try the nipples holding their beaks \.
They will teach the other birds.
