Here in NJ the elderberries are no where near ripe.

I was surprised the first year down here.. I remember picking elderberries with my Grandma late August or so. Here they are nearly spent.. Longer growing season here,

My elderberries are only a year old. I don't expect to see any berries this year at all, but the plant is very healthy.
