Well it's a free country. You could decorate one for the birds outside. Peanut butter pinecone, cages of suet, strings of popcorn. Just a thought.

That sounds like a good idea except I don't have a tree small enough to get to.

I only have big oaks, pine, and lots of palms.

I don't put up a Christmas tree as no comes to the house, so why go to the trouble.

It just makes me feel like the season to see a tree in the house.
You don't have relatives to visit you or vice-versa?

It’s the same here, Karen. All our family lives in other states. Why put up a tree just for us? We don’t care about it.

I give my chickens treats regularly. I suppose I could dangle some things from the apple trees but they would just wonder why they have to suddenly work for their treats.

My daughter lives in Jacksonville about 1 1/2 hours away.

She works every holiday to make the double time.

We always went to their house so as not to take the grandchildren away from Santa gifts.

Now the grandchildren are 23 and 18.

The 23 year old lives out on her own.

The 18 year old still lives at home, but is always busy.

She works for Winn Dixie and works at the school doing a project.

So here we are by ourselves.
