Good morning everyone! Coffee is finally ready!

I was out with the chickens before I even started a pot of coffee this morning! DH has been taking care of them for the last year or two, but I decided this week it is time for me to get out and take care of my own chickens. I quite like to spoil them. I'm sure they miss that.

I like to go see my chickens daily.

I like to take them sardines and tuna as well as grass because they are not free range.

I have been up since 0230 after another attack from my shingles.

Good morning! Coffee is ready.

I like seeing my chickens every day too. I did see them when DH was taking care of them, but just didn't go in and do the water, food and cleaning chores. It's good to be back at it. I like knowing exactly what is happening with them. Especially the chicks.

The chicks will be 6 weeks old on Monday. If the weather allows it, I may let them out with the big girls in the free range area. I think they would like it, but I would need to be out there to make sure there is no trouble for them. They have feathers, so that is not a problem. I just don't know how they will be received with no mama hen looking after them.
