Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

These are the ones I got. I got the pink and blue ones in this kind. It was cheaper if you bought them together and I wanted both of those colors anyway haha so I got the pack. I think this link is to the grey one but if you hit more options you should be able to see the pink and blue ones haha they’re really pretty imo. :love

And then I got this one in aquamarine, mint green, and yellow.

I told you I went a bit crazy. :lau  🙈

But now I have my own and can take them with me or whatever haha and I’ve been drinking a lot of tea lately so nice to have a few different ones to use haha
Those are beautiful! I love the marble ones!!!

I would hate to have a flooded house!

I know I'd never own one again.
The first time my house flooded it filled the basement and came halfway up the floor joists. Took out the electric panel, furnace, water heater and washer and dryer.
The second time it flooded the water came up a foot into the main floor, single level ranch, and basically took out everything.
The second time it flooded it was under contract to sell and we were due to close in 10 days. Needless to say, the buyer walked and I was stuck with a totalled house.

Thanks! I thought so too!! And right!? Me too!! :love

Although I should have gone to Ocean State first... they had some really cool mugs for literally like $1 :th and another for $1.99 (though it didn’t have a sticker and it was almost closing so he just charged me $1 haha)

I got 5 mugs for $5 :lau

Holy cow!!! That's a terrible experience!!!

We are technically in a 100 year flood zone, but honestly I can't imagine this little river rising 30' to come over our bank. Especially when it a low bank on the other side.

You could have gotten 10 of the mugs at Ocean State for the price of one of the ones you bought from Amazon!! :D But, are they marble? I mean, those marble ones are really something. :love

The sad part is the first food was supposed to be "the worst this area would ever see". It happened in 2006. I had $16,000 in damage. I repaired with $5,500 and pocketed the rest. I lowered my flood insurance to $20,000.

Then 5 years later the big one hit. The damage was in excess of $60,000. I got $18,000 after the deductible. I repaired the house again for $18,000 and had people fighting to rent it but no one wanted to buy it so I became an unhappy landlord.

I went through 5 tenants during the next 5 years with some serious riff raff to test my faith in humanity. The market finally recovered enough, memories faded and houses in the flood zone started selling again.

After evicting the last set of true blue dirt bags and again repairing the house, I put it on the market and it was under contract in 7 days for asking price. The best thing that ever happened to me in real estate.

That's an awesome story, but probably not the best experience. You did a great job turning those around with the money you had available. I'm glad the house eventually sold, and for a good price!!!

The white one is probably a little tall for tea but I just thought it was so cheery and cute I figured I’d get it. I figured it can’t hurt to have a little cheer or whatever in the morning or whenever haha

So now I’m gonna have like 10 mugs. 12 if I go buy 2 more :lau 🙈 I might put some in storage and save them for when I move out haha

:lau yeah I know!! I kind of regret it cause I spent kind of a lot between those and the case  but they really are really pretty!! And I’m drinking tea and stuff a ton more lately so now I’ll always have a clean mug!!! LOL

I’m not sure if they’re actually marble or not. I would bet not because of the price. I think they’re ceramic with just the marble patterning. But they are really pretty. :love

I’m glad I got them lol the other ones are bigger too. Like a few are like 18 ounces so it will be good if I want more tea or hot chocolate or whatever hahah
