Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Good afternoon every body. Thanks for the coffee. And, wow. 30 days no rain, Penny? What a lousy time to be laid up! I could be painting the new coop! DH will have to water flowers, and maybe even the lawn. How about that?

Thanks for asking after me, Debby. I'm okay. This isn't a great day, but making the best of it. Some days will be like that, I suppose. Just doing my job...healing. :D

Have him help you outside to a chair. Fresh air is great you can hold a hose just let him work around you :gig

Not sharing all the details of this journey online, but suffice it to say, I need to stay in a pretty sterile environment. I wont even be out to see the chickens from outside the fence for a couple weeks, and will then have to see what the doctor says for after that. This was all more complicated than I care to talk about. :)

That being said, I am surrounded by windows and can see the river from my living room chair, so it's all good. I need to not take any risks for a short while to get past some vulnerabilities, so I'll enjoy it from here.

Fresh air is indeed a great thing, and I have that right here too. :D

Your right we are no knowledgeable about what they actually did..
Nor the limitations placed on you but your Dr's.
You have a great husband there to care for you and all that entails
Yep. He's doing a great job, although he is learning that I do a lot around here. He's feeling pretty busy right now. Bless his heart.

He's excited about the weather change and plans to paint the new coop for me. :woot

Ahhhh would love to see when he is done .. I have decided to use a metal building from Home Depot to replace my main coop 10 x 12 think one will do ... build a regular door not the sliding style put some soffits in the roof line and of course a couple windows add a pop door for them and insulate good

Sounds like that would work. When Mike finishes this coop I will post an article on it. If it's finished in time, I might even enter it in the coop contest. Mainly I want to share it because nearly every idea we got was from someone on BYC. We took all our favorite ideas and put them together. I love it already. Changes cleaning coops from 30+ min a day to 5 min a day. Can't beat that! And no more chickens sleeping in nest boxes! They love their new coop!

Started by thinking I would need more space. We talked
about square feet and such as I have a huge coop now.. Only 16 birds at any given time..
This right now have 19 in one 5 in the other they would stay in there but get a bigger yard

That sounds great Val, I'm looking forward to seeing it!
