Oh wow. That really is terrible. I'm so sorry!!! I just have no words. I cannot believe they got through the hardware cloth. That's a bit terrifying. That's what we all depend on. I'll be interested to know what you come up with.

Yes. The openings are larger but overall it's much stronger. Then I use 2 foot hardware cloth with one foot horizontal and one foot vertical. And wire it to the welded wire.
